Project activities at the 18th Elementary school of Kalamata, Greece

We presented our country Greece, and our class, Class ST1 (6th Grade) as well as our hometown, Kalamata, using a lino wall.

Next, we made logos for the project.

We learnt about Internet safety and netiquette and played a relevant kahoot game.

We planted an olive tree at school as a symbol of peace and friendship and as an act of respect to our home, the Earth.

Planting our olive tree in the schoolyard:

We watched "Send it on" song in class, both karaoke version and as sung by our partners. We learnt and sang SEND IT ON ourselves! We made a video with our students singing the song.

We watched the video Chain of kindness, suggested by one of our partners.

At Christmas we organized a school bazaar for charity purposes and we made cards to wish our partners all the best for the holidays! That was our act of kindness.

Our Christmas cards for you:

Our Christmas bazaar was a success. During the two days that it lasted we managed to raise quite some money to give to the "Smile of the child", a Greek organization that ensures for all children love, affection, care and respect.

Our Christmas bazaar - Day 1

Our Christmas bazaar - Day 2

We received praise and a thank you letter from the organization THE SMILE OF THE CHILD for our donation:

Another project activity was writing in teams a chapter for our collaborative story HOW KINDNESS CHANGED THE WORLD:

One of  our students drew a caretta caretta for our chapter in the collaborative story "How kindness changed the world":

We started a pen pal activity and exchanged letters with our Spanish partners:

We made Easter cards for our Spanish pen pals before school closures.

We wrote answers to our friends and posted them on the common padlet where we communicated during school closures.

We helped to fill in the Greek translation of the kindness words of our common dictionary:

We translated in Greek the last two pages of our collaborative story HOW KINDNESS CHANGED THE WORLD:

Last but not least, we evaluated the PROJECT.
